The Customer Support phase represents a formal handoff from the development team to organizational MIS or IT support. The associated documents and steps in this phase provide formal procedures for ensuring proper knowledge transfer has been completed between the two parties. First, as always, let's look at the SEP Phase VII roadmap (Figure 8.1).

Six significant tasks are necessary for the Core Team to work on in this phase. Just as in every phase, the review of the deliverables checklist is first. The Phase VII Deliverables Checklist appears as Figure 8.2. We cover each of these six areas in the following paragraphs.
