FONT BOOK: COMPARING FONTS SIDE-BY-SIDE

If you're trying to make a decision on which font to choose, and it's down to just a few choices, here's a great way to do some side-by-side comparisons. In the Font panel, double-click on the first font you want to compare. This brings up a preview of the font in its own separate floating window. Then double-click on the next font, and its preview appears in another floating window, so you can position them side-by-side and see which you like better. You can open as many different font preview windows as you need to help you find just the right font. Also, once the floating preview window is open, you can choose different font weights and variations from the pop-up menu at the top of the window.
