• MySQL (version 4.0.20c) for Windows/Linux

• MySQL Connector/J (version 3.0.14) for Windows/Linux

• Apache Tomcat (version 5.0.25) for Windows/Linux

The examples in this book were developed with the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition Development Kit (JDK) version 5.0. At the time of this printing the JDK 5.0 was still in its final beta version, so the JDK is not included on the CD that accompanies this book. You can download the latest version of JDK 5.0 and its documentation from

java.sun.com/j2se/5.0/download.jsp
