Is your email server's mailbox full? You can quickly delete old or unwanted email right from within Mail (rather than having to access your mail server directly). Here's how: First, click on the name of the Mail Account where you want to delete some excess mail, then press Command-I to bring up the Account Info dialog. If it's a standard POP mail account, select the Messages on Server tab to see a list of the email messages stored on your email server. Now select the message you want to delete (Shift-click to select a contiguous group of messages, or if you want to be more selective, Command-click on just the email you want to delete). Once you've got the ones selected you want to delete, just click the Remove From Server button in the lower-right corner of the dialog. That should free up some space, and you're back in business (well, at least you can get more email). |
